Account data. Email, password hash (bcrypt), display name (optional), and subscription state. Stored in Firestore. Tier 2 deployments use the customer's own GCP project for Firestore — LEF Ai Engine infrastructure never sees Tier 2 account data.
Run state. Corpus snapshot hashes, engine output, downloaded artifacts. Stored on per-session storage (GCS for Tier 0/1, customer-local for Tier 2). Reports persist across deploys via the artifact-rehydration flow described in the public changelog.
Topic intake. The 2–3 research topics you submit per run are retained as part of the run's metadata so the artifact carries an accurate "what was asked" record.
Tier 1 + Tier 2 customer runs do NOT contribute to LEF Ai Engine substrate evolution. The substrate evolves only on signal from LEF-operated auto-runs (the local-runner builds we operate on our own infrastructure). Customer privacy is structural, not policy — the customer-tenanted runs and the LEF-operated runs are isolated by architecture and never share a feedback channel.
Tier 0 submissions are subject to the engine-improvement license described in Section 5 of the Terms of Service; if you are not comfortable with that license, do not submit at Tier 0.
Session cookie (dcfn_session): HttpOnly, signed JWT, used solely to keep you signed in. Set when you authenticate; cleared when you log out. No advertising cookies. No third-party tracking. No fingerprinting.
The engine briefly passes content through third-party APIs during processing:
Each third party has its own privacy posture described in their published policies. We do not control their retention. If you require strict end-to-end confidentiality on submitted content, the public Tier 0/1 service is not the right tool — Tier 2 Private Deployment in your own VPC is available for that use case. Contact sales for terms.
You may request deletion of your account and associated subscription record at any time by emailing sales@livingedenframeworks.com from the email address on the account. Deletion of past run artifacts you've downloaded is at your discretion (they live on your computer, not ours, after download).
The Section 5 engine-improvement license described in the Terms of Service is perpetual on Tier 0 submissions; account deletion does not retract structural patterns already incorporated into the engine. If you object to that license, the path is to not submit at Tier 0.
We may update this Privacy Policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced on the DCFN - Research site and, for Tier 1+ subscribers, by email at the address on the subscription.
